The Data Hub Between Lenders and Capital Markets

dv01 is a leading data intelligence platform with integrated loan-level consumer credit data and analytics that drives transparency in lending markets.

The $16+ trillion market is the backbone of everyday activities that empower financial freedom, from consolidating credit card debt and refinancing student loans, to buying a home and starting a small business. As a data-first company, we wrangle critical loan data and build modern analytical tools that enable strategic decision-making for responsible lending. In a nutshell, we’re helping prevent a repeat of the 2008 global financial crisis by offering the data and tools required to make smarter, data-driven decisions resulting in a safer world for all of us.

My Responsibilities

I have served as the feature leader and primary responsible party for numerous large-scale product features. Some notable examples include map data visualization for mortgages, tape cracker validation and calculation, as well as the development of an entirely new product line for our agency. Additionally, I have led the design team in creating a comprehensive style guide and UI components in the Sketch library. These resources are utilized by our design team on a daily basis for various design assignments.

dv01 Style Guide

  1. Emphasize strategic thinking: Engage in thorough and strategic thinking to ensure the UI design and UX behavior align with the specific needs of the financial industry and cater to the daily tasks of our clients.
  2. Redesigning UI components and information architecture: Undertake a complete overhaul of the UI components, including font styles, layer styles, symbols, and responsive elements. This redesign should aim to improve usability, accessibility, and overall user experience for our target audience.
  3. Utilize design tools effectively: Make use of design tools like Sketch to create a solid foundation for design components. Pay attention to scalability and responsiveness, ensuring that all UI elements seamlessly resize or scale to accommodate various screen sizes and devices.
  4. Create a comprehensive design system: Establish a design system where each UI component has its unique file within the Sketch library. This ensures that components are easily accessible, can be linked, and readily implemented in new product features. Such a system improves efficiency and consistency across the design process.
